in a shoebox DECADES FROM NOW, THERE ARE TICKET stubs AND PAPER FESTIVAL braceletS, A WRINKLED NAPKIN WITH A PHONE NUMBER SCRAWLED IN A NOW-FAMILIAR HANDWRITING, some acorns, COLORED GLASS beads, a DRIED CORSAGE... AND a stack of well-worn photos from AN AFTERNOON WHEN YOU FORGOT I WAS THERE WITH A CAMERA.

i create PICTURES FOR YOU TO LOOK BACK ON AROUND A COFFEE TABLE. a little grainy, a little blurry, and full of honest feeling. i shoot photos that embrace humanity and don’t ask you to hide your imperfections. it’s not about looking FLAWLESS for a social media post within the hour; it’s about remembering exactly how this moment felt when you SEE IT AGAIN years from now. MINE IS a quiet, lasting WAY OF TAKING PHOTOS.

i’m melody. my degree is in digital cinema and film and my first paid photo gig was in 2009. i use my grandfather’s vintage lens to take the edge off my sony a7siii.

I'm the 'americano-for-here-and-a-corner-booth' type.

at the moment, blue ridge, georgia is where my little family calls home. i’ll travel as far as you’ll have me and they’ll probably join.

text me to get things rolling. (251.472.7705)
